How to Position Your Avatar with Orbit Controls

Orbit Controls in Alias give you the ability position, rotate, and scale your avatar for the perfect shot. Using orbit controls for Vtuber and avatar content is possible on any device including PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

This short guide will show you how to use the Orbit Controls on each device. If you prefer to watch a quick video instead, you can also check out our video guide below:

Orbit controls are located on the camera screen. Access the camera screen via the camera icon on the top right of Alias.

Then head to the control panel, located on the bottom of the camera screen.

Using Orbit Controls on Alias

PC/Mac

  • Rotate Avatar: Left mouse button + drag

  • Scale/Zoom Avatar

    • Scroll wheel: Middle mouse button + drag

    • Trackpad: Pinch to zoom in and out/two-finger drag

  • Position Avatar: Right mouse button + drag

  • Reset Avatar: Click the reset button

  • Lock Avatar: Click the Orbit Control button on the bottom toolbar.

iOS/Android

  • Rotate Avatar: Tap and drag on the screen

  • Scale/Zoom Avatar: Pinch to zoom

  • Position Avatar: Two-finger drag

  • Reset Avatar: Tap the reset button

  • Lock Avatar: Tap the Orbit Control button on the bottom toolbar.
